Breeding Kittens
11th January 2009 by Kitten Ads No CommentsBreeding kittens will be a complete rewarding or it might end up in mere frustration or failure. Breeding kittens is not an easy job unless we create the necessary conditions for breeding. The female cat which goes through the breeding process is popularly called as queen cat. Usually a female cat comes to estrus many times in a year. This heat would last for two to three weeks. If the breeding did not happen in this period then the queen cat again goes to heat in one or two weeks. This keeps on happening and may stop any time or when she is bred. The heat period may vary base don the climatic conditions like temperature, day light hours or geographic conditions like cold climate or hot climate.

The symptom of heat period is the vaginal bleeding that may occur but this is very small, not even seen sometimes. The most common behavior during heat period is the cats try to rub against their owners and things in the house and they constantly try to get attention of the people. The cats some times roll on the floor and when stroked on their back they start raising their rear quarters in air and tread with legs behind. They start making vocal sounds. It is always good to take female cat to male cat’s home since the male cats are more successful when they are at their place. The female cats require at least three to four breeding in a day’s period to achieve ovulation. Once ovulation happens the female cat comes out of heat within a day or two.
